Soto Style Koromo Priest's Robe or Zen Ordained Robe.

Our Koromo Soto Style robe. It is more stylized and formal than the Lay Robe. The bodice is actually more similar to the Jubon. The skirt portion has more pleats and they overlap. And, there is an "arm pit ventilation" feature. The sleeves of the Koromo are extra long, extending far beyond the finger tips. We make the Soto Style Koromo Priest's Robe from the identical 100% fine quality, durable, cotton fabric.

The length of the lower portion of the Koromo robe hem is about 9" from the floor. However, we leave enough seam allowance to lengthen when you try it on if longer is desired.

The sleeve portion extends beyond the finger tips when arms are outstretched by about 3"-4". Depth of the sleeves are 27". If you'd like deeper sleeves, ie, 36" please specify in the comments section when ordering. There is an additional $50.00 charge for the time required to make deeper 36" sleeves.

Sizes S-XXXL. XL - XXXL add 20%

Important: When ordering, place the following information in the comments/notes section: your height, weight, bust or chest size and hips, arm length and height to 3" above your ankle to adjust the garment to fit best. And, if you are providing the special color fabric, include that as well.

If you have another fabric in mind, we can make the robe using your own selection of fabric. E-mail us first with measurements to determine how much fabric you will need to purchase. After we have confirmed the quantity of fabric you'll need to buy, then place the order, mentioning the custom color fabric will be send via UPS or FedEx.

 Your have two fabric choices:

1. a Black men's dress shirt weight fabric
2. a light weight fabric just about half that weight.

The lighter weight fabric is an excellent choice if you live in a warmer climate or want a Koromo for late Spring and Summer wear which is not so hot.
