Teaching on Bodhicitta and Vajrasattva Meditation Practice to be given

On Saturday Oct 31st, from 9am – 5pm Lama Gape with be giving teachings on the all important practice of Bodhicitta. Bodhicitta is the foundation for all meditation practice on the spiritual path for the Tibetan and Mahayana Buddhist because it awakens the need to serve our enlightenment or happiness and that of all others as well.

What is the purpose of cultivating deepest levels of happiness if the whole world is suffering? Can you image living in a city full of crime, strife and chaos where all around you are struggling with physical, emotional and mental suffering while you are healthy? This is the dilemma Bodhicitta addresses. The spiritual path is founded on helping heal the world by first healing ourselves. Afterwards, we turn to help others as we have more to give.

Bodhicitta means, “Awakened mind,” balanced mind, serene mind, enlightened mind. Bodhicitta also means the practice of the union of wisdom and compassion in daily life.

Lama Gape is affiliated with the Garchen Institute in Chino Valley Arizona where he resides. He teaches under the guidance of Venerable Garchen Rinpoche.

On Sunday Nov 1st from 9 am – 5pm he will give the training and authorization through transmission, aka, empowerment for the purification practice of Vajrasattva. In addition to the empowerment Lama Gape will provide meditation instructions, how to recite the 100 syllable mantra and advice on the practice of the powerful Buddha of Purification method.

Vajrasattva is evoked to clear away mental, emotional, physical and spiritual blocks created in the past. This practice can be learned by anyone with sincere intention to purify oneself in order to live a happier, healthier, more fulfilled life.

Teaching details:
A $30 donation suggested is for a single day, or if attending both days, then a $60 suggested donation is requested to cover costs and support Lama Gape’s work teaching.
