Raising Tibetan Prayer Flags during Losar is very auspicious, creating vast blessings for all beings as well as you.

Losar is the Tibetan New Year, or “Year of the Iron Tiger” 2137. Losar falls on the days of February 25th thru February 27th, 2010 of the western calendar this year. Unlike here in the western societies, Asian cultures celebrate New Years for many days with spiritual, cultural and family gathers which are warm, and very festive.

The raising of prayer flags on Losar is one of many spiritual activities you can engage in for benefiting yourself, family and friends during the coming year. The Tibetan New Year is an auspicious occasion to take this action.

Every year you can replace all the old prayer flags at your home, retreat center, cabin, or meditation center with fresh new flags that are offered, blessed and consecrated during a beautiful offering ceremony.

In general Tibetan prayer flags enhance your health, longevity, wealth, and all desirable positive human qualities. For meditation practitioners, the raising of prayer flags aids in the removal of obstacles to the path of enlightenment and is a support for the attainment of absolute siddhis or spiritual powers of realization. One cultivates virtue or positive human qualities by many means. However, praying for the welfare of all beings with the constant presence of prayer flags offerings, is especially important because they are every present.

The Tibetan prayer flags will contain various blessings depending upon the type of deity being invoked or the special prayers contained on each flag.

You can write your loved ones name on the back of the prayer flags as well, for added benefit and recite a prayer such as Om Mani Padme Hum, or Om Tare Tam Soha while placing the blessing flags.

To participate, please pick up your sets of prayer flags today by visiting this link. We have plenty in stock for you.

This is a joyous activity that children and teens often appreciate participating in as well. The whole family can place flags together as a form of group fun activity.

In addition, we have some good articles about prayer flags, and send a free explanation of the meaning of your blessing flags with each order.
