Sting and Team Earth Are Sending Out a Rainforest SOS

Sting and Four Gates support Team Earth’s efforts at sending out an SOS to the world regarding deforestation.

Rainforests, and all forest habitats, are critical to our survival on planet Earth because they regulate rainfall, preserve biodiversity and store vast amounts of carbon, as well as releasing oxygen through the trees respiration cycles.

So Team Earth is working with Sting and our friends at Prince Charles’ Rainforest Project to send a clear message: the horrendous deforestation happening right now in our rainforests needs to stop.

This coming December, world leaders will meet in Copenhagen for important negotiations on climate change. Team Earth can send a loud message to those in power that the world’s citizens demand its protection. And, by speaking up with Team Earth, you can bring more voices and concern to their attention. Each person can make a difference by letting leaders know we want change. Actions need to be taken now and in the near term future.

The future of the rainforests, and all forests, are critical to our future because they stabilize climate in every region where trees are in abundance. As Sting shares with us in his video, the destruction of the rainforests isn’t a crime against a few — it’s a disaster for our planet.
