His Holiness the Dalai Lama visits LA to Raise Awareness for Children in Need
His Holiness the Dalai Lama is giving a public talk on Feb. 21, 2010 in Universal City at the Universal Gibson Amphitheater.
His Holiness the Dalai Lama comes to L.A. to personally participate in the launch of a new global initiative to create awareness of the plight of institutionalized children. His Holiness will spend the weekend spurring momentum to address the emotional needs of the world’s most vulnerable children.
The philanthropic and compassionate event is organized by Whole Child International, an organization founded to ensure that all people who care for young children understand their need for attachment, know that they can effectively provide it in their existing settings, and are able and empowered to make it happen. They currently are working with orphanages in El Salvador and Nicaragua.
On Sunday, Feb. 21, His Holiness will deliver the public address Cultivating compassion and the needs of vulnerable children, at Gibson Amphitheatre in Los Angeles California. The event will include a musical performance by a special guest. Tickets are on sale now through Live Nation or available at all Ticketmaster locations and at www.ticketmaster.com.
