Festival of Goodwill – Full Moon of Gemini, Saka Dawa

The Festival of Goodwill, also known as Saka Dawa in Buddhism, is one of those rare opportunities to engage in service for the welfare of everyone on our beautiful planet Earth. Everyone prays for themselves, their families, friends and those they know and love. This is natural. Remember though, that we are connected to one another, and to the Universe and Presence of God. The Festival of Goodwill is celebrated by those who seek to enrich the world as a whole with the highest and best energies of light, love and goodwill. In other words, this is a universal and unconditional celebration for the benefit of all beings.

The Festival of Goodwill, also known as the Gemini Full Moon and in the Asian traditions, Saka Dawa, can be participated in regardless of what other religious, spiritual or personal connections you are affiliated with. All that you need is the intention to contact, absorb and express the incoming energies for your welfare and that of all mankind.

It is interesting that we call it a festival because the meaning of a festival is to engage in a joyous celebration. What greater joy is there than helping mankind, human kind if you like, to pass safely through this perilous time in history?

If we are part of the body of humanity, and what affects us touches everyone in some measure, then what greater opportunity could we have than to come together in support of that body to insure its’ health?

Each of us can make a difference by increasing the planetary health. Health means to be in harmony with the greater intention, the great body of life. Health means to sustain the connection to our purpose for being here in this life. Do you feel energized and happy when there is a greater purpose for your life?

Health starts from the inner world, meaning our deeper emotional and mental world, and radiates outward. When there is inner health, there is a trickle down effect, expressing gradually in our ordinary daily lives in simple yet profound ways. But, you first must be plugged in. The bulb of the enlightened, soulful Self, needs to be plugged in in order to shine. If you are plugged in then you can fulfill your purpose by shining the light that is needed by others. When you meditate, pray, visualize a better world, live with good hearted intentions, then this makes way for the energy of Gemini, of Goodwill which releases your Blessedness into the world. It is through each of us that all good things manifest.

In this Festival of Humanity we aspire towards God, seeking unification with the Will of God to make this planet sacred, healthy, and suitable for enlightened societies. At this time we affirm our dedication to the expression of right human relations. Right human relations are the expression of Goodwill in action.

You can begin this meditation May 25th, and continue until May 30th. The peak of the full moon cycle takes place on May 27th, however the 3 days prior and after are also potent.

On May 27th we celebrate the Festival of Goodwill in which the spiritual and divine nature of mankind is recognized. We affirm our connection to God, to life, to the Universe and greater whole. And, we affirm our responsibility to be messengers of Goodwill in daily life.

Here is the Festival of Goodwill Meditation Format for the Gemini:

Sit quietly in your place of meditation, or sacred space, or somewhere peaceful, such as in your garden.

Relax your body completely, dissolving all tension and stress. You are safe, all is well, everything in working out for the highest good of yourself, and the world.

Take three slow, deep, natural breaths, cleansing, relaxing, energizing your body, emotions and mind.

Focus your attention in a relaxed way in the area of your chest, where your heart is located.

Recite this prayer:

“In the centre of all Love I stand.
From that centre I, the soul, will outward move.
From that centre I, the one who serves, will work.
May the love of the divine Self be shed abroad, in my heart,
through my group, and throughout the world.
Reflect on several practical ways you can express God’s Love, and Goodwill in daily life.”

Stage one: Unification with group goodwill. We create fusion through affirmation of our connection to all of those who serve the greater good. You do this by feeling that your heart and mind are joined with all those throughout the world who work for the welfare of humanity and serve God’s will.

You are a link, or bridge for the energy of Goodwill flowing into and through you to your loved ones, friends, family and community.

Affirm that you are one in intention with all brothers and sisters on the path of service. May your aspirations and strength be with them all, and may their’s be with you.

Affirmation: I am one with all servers who protect the world through expressing God’s Love, God’s Light and God’s Goodwill.

Stage two: Extend a stream of light energy towards the spiritual Protectors, great disciples, sometimes called The Hierarchy of the planet. See them as the Heart of God in action. You can see them gathered together in a great meeting hall, or temple in the mountains.

Visualize a line of light between all of the men and women of Goodwill, then the Heart of God, and then into the center where the Will of God is known.

You can imagine this as three rings of light, one within the other. Or, you can see this as a Great Divine Flower, in which the outter petals are humanity, the inner petals are the Heart of God, and the center of flower is the Will of God.

Stage three: Raise up your heart and mind, and open yourself, seeing the energy streaming into the Divine Flower, and then radiating out over the whole world. Using your creative imagination, see the energies of Light, Love and the Will-to-Good showering throughout the planet like endless raindrops of energy which become anchored on Earth.

Affirmation: May God’s Love, Light and Goodwill stream forth into the world.

Imagine that every continent, country, province, state, city, town, village, church, temple, holy place, prison, government, hospital, business, educational institution, home and all places are blessed by this energy.

Stage four: Meditation on the following thought….

“Let the group of men and women of Goodwill, disciples and servers of the Highest Will of God, reveal the fact of the kingdom of God, the planetary Hierarchy and the brotherhood of mankind.”

*What is the form of the Kingdom of God? How might that look?

*What are the qualities of the Kingdom of God? How might that feel?

*What is the purpose of the Kingdom of God?

*What is the cause of the Kingdom of God?

Stage Five: Refocus all of the consciousness, awareness and thoughts, seeing the group of servers of humaity and affirm..

Visualise the downpouring spiritual inflow released from the Will of God, through the Hierarchy, or the Heart of God, and streaming into all of humanity.

Consider how these incoming energies are building the network, creating pathways of light. These pathways will aid the New Era for the coming World Teacher.

Stage six: Closing prayer

With each stanza, see the energy of that stanza radiating throughout the world, and into your life, your country, state, city or community as well.

THE GREAT INVOCATION

From the point of Light within the Mind of God
Let light stream forth into the minds of men.
Let Light descend on Earth.

From the point of Love within the Heart of God
Let love stream forth into the hearts of men.
May Christ return to Earth.

From the centre where the will of God is known
Let purpose guide the little wills of men –
The purpose which the Masters know and serve.

From the centre which we call the race of men
Let the Plan of Love and Light work out
And may it seal the door where evil dwells.
Let Light and Love and Power restore the Plan on Earth.
