Four Paths to The Power of Grace

Written By: Christopher May  No Comment

Four Paths to The Power of Grace. Aum is The Power of Grace synthesizing all efforts into a single ascent.

During difficult times, or periods of ease, one can draw upon the inner life currents. Aum is The Power of Grace. It is as essential to commune with the Higher World as having pure air to breathe. Why would we let one day pass without the life giving energy and the Power of Grace?

How do we commune with the Higher World in order to increase our connection to Higher Power, The Power of Grace, Enlightened Mind, or God except through connection to our true nature?

There are Four Paths to Power of Grace which build the Pillars holding up the roof our temple. However, without AUM, these paths can be dry. Infuse your sacred activities with the Sacred Sound of AUM first:

1. Meditation, in one form or another is essential to maintain a connection to The Power of Grace, and the Higher Words. Of course there are many forms of meditation. There is mindfulness awareness in which one is present to each moment. Then, there is the path of reflective meditation in which we ask questions to gain insight into the depth of life’s purpose. Or, one can use meditation on the four view points, for example, looking at the form, the quality, the purpose and cause of events. And, many people find that guided meditations are helpful in focusing one’s attention on experiencing relaxation or ease. Take time to move into that frame of mind which sees the purpose, meaning, and inner beauty of each moment.

2. Service for the common welfare, of which there are many forms, is the second pilliar. Any act of compassion from the simplest thoughts, prayers for the welfare of others, to outward expressions of community service for the common welfare are ways to honor the needs and suffering of others. Service is the point of connection to the welfare of all beings and brings relief to those in need. Without serving others there Grace cannot be experienced fully, rather only egotism and self-gratification.

3. A courage to pursue happiness, virtue and good conduct are essential to the path of ascent. Courage streams from a connection to our true nature, and AUM acts like a fresh stream of Grace which clears away the obstructive thoughts, and afflictive emotions which block the inner sunshine. AUM is the power of Grace to clear all obstacles from your path. AUM is the bridge to the most sacred part of your true nature. When you sound AUM, see the flower of your happiness blooming like a Spring Lotus rising up out of the muddy pond of life.

4. Maintaining an ever flowing spirit of appreciation for everything good, true, beautiful, positive, joyful, difficult, challenging and even painful experiences. All experience can be transformed into Grace, thus creating a path of ascent when viewed with constant appreciation. Appreciation is the response to lifes Grace, kindness and compassion. All karmic blockages can be cleared through appreciation. If you can live with appreciation, then the Power of Grace is being digested by your soul or true nature.

Make a written list of everything you are, everything that has happened, everything that is good, bad or indifferent, and be endlessly appreciating each moment of life.

Use the phrase often, “that blessed be the obstalce because through them we grow” or ascend. Positive and negative experiences both can bring benefit to the disciple who is no the path of Grace.

We have arrived at an age where self-exertion for the common good is highly called for in order to open the door to new possibilities. If we expect the new era, we must create it first by being willing to clear away all egotism, fear and self-loathing.

Follow this simple path of ascent.

And, follow the path to our monthly seminars at Ask a Spiritual Teacher where you can benefit from the Grace of joining in Community to learn and study together.
